Are you wondering how to set, reset, or retrieve a combination for your medicine locking device?
RxGuardian’s family of medication locking devices can help deter accidental or unauthorized access to powerful prescription medications. Locking pill bottle caps, medicine lock boxes, and locking medicine bags can help to keep your medicine protected against anyone seeking an easy way to pilfer a pill or two. They can also protect young children from accidental medication poisoning.
Whether you want to protect your meds or protect your family, a locking medication storage device can add an extra layer of security. But that means knowing how to properly set or reset the combination.
How to Use and Reset a Safer Lock or Safer Lock Box
RxGuardian’s Safer Lock and Safer Lock Box utilize a 4-digit combination lock to secure powerful prescription medications. The 4-digit combination offers 10,000 possible combinations, and you can select one that is personal and easy for you to remember. To make it even more secure, make sure your 4-digit code is difficult for others in your home or family to guess.
If your combination has been compromised, you can reset your Safer Lock and choose a new combination.
- Each Safer Lock product comes with a reset pin. Locate the resetting hole on the side of the Safer Lock.
- Unlock the Safer Lock. The combination can only be reset if the device is unlocked.
- Fully insert the pin into the reset hole and hold it there for the next step.
- Change the numbers to your desired combination.
- Release the pin from the reset hole.
- Press the first number closest to the reset hole, then slightly wiggle it. This ensures that the new combination is set.
